    I contacted Stihl corporate today in attempt to order or preorder the MS500i. Stihl Rep is telling me 2020 is the new release date. o_O

    For steal that means 2021. The 462 was supposed to be out the 3rd quarter of 18.

    Not sure. My stihl distributor covers the Midwest area and is shipping to all dealers they service.

    They might be a little behind now because of the govt shutdown. The EPA was a part of the shutdown and wasn’t able to administer emissions approvals on power equipment. As a result, Husqvarna just sent out a notice that some models will be delayed.

    It's (462) officially available to me per the email I got from my distributor this am.

    I'm not sure why other distributors are not on the same page.

    Fwiw, this new saw being released dropped the price of the 461 by $80 retail.

    I got yet another confirmation through a different channel that the saw is a 2020 saw. I am set, but really wanted to get my hands on one. The 461 and 880 serve me well, but this is frustrating.
