Snuck out for a half hour and clipped up more dead standing beech. Oddly enough I found these two burl covered hickories around the dead beech. A lot of dead trees near this spot. Fungal diseases? Looking for thoughts from some logger types or tree experts.
That is some kind of a worm but it skips my mind right now what it is. We sometimes see them on oaks here but not quite as many as you have.
Worms...gets my dogs, get my cats, and can get me if I eat under cooked food. Crazy how many issues they can cause. I gathered up several and burnt them all right away. If it is a work I would like to eradicate them. Tree's will be on the ground next weekend....I can always find a reason to drop some trees.....works is the best one yet.
