It’s a pleasant-5* I think it was +7* when I went to bed. With the humidity it fell below zero. House is a around 72 with spruce fighting off old man winter.

High of 40 today. High of 0 Wednesday. High of 50 next Sunday. That's quite the swing in temps.

Judging by the direction of the rain, it looks like the wind has shifted to the west and thus begins our 50 degree drop into tomorrow night.

I'm going to haul into the basement a few more pieces of wood and light up the kicker stove for Tue and Wed movie days. Wed is by far the worse of the two days, but I'll be snug as a bug...… yeah, you get it!

Anyone else here watch this collection? It is very well done!

I was born and raised in doylestown Pa not far from the michener museum
Michener Art Museum | James A. Michener Art Museum

My father got his master's in soil science and was a professor at what was back then Delaware Valley College. He also had a consulting business and ended up doing some "art growth" for Michener. I was only maybe 10 years old, really didn't know how "big" Michener was, but he paid me to cut the trails of grass around what he had my dad plant.

I haven't thought of that in probably 25+ years.

14 or so here, waiting for 30 and snow tomorrow, looks like 8-12" according to the prophets. Glad to have gotten out of a 162 mile ride for work tomorrow.. I get to work 10 miles away instead. Woohoo! Saving the long ride for Thursday. It'll be -11 when I leave, hope the truck starts.

Red maple choochin today, with some sugar and red oak on deck for the chilly days coming up.

Yep, this is getting stupid. I can do cold & snow pretty well, but this up & down rain to snow to rain thing makes it tough. Sick of stuff getting wet & then freezing. 40's & rain here this weekend to ruin some pretty decent snow. 16F with a much lighter west wind. Snow done till the lake effect kicks in later. Oak in the boiler. Ready for the cold I think. All plowed & banks pushed back.

Great to see your son helping out with work he is well suited for. He enjoys the heat so he should help where he can. Good for you
