First time out since late spring. First good run with the new Echo 620, went through the sugar maple real smooth like, put a smile on my face for sure. Worth every cent I paid for it. Mostly all sugar, with a little elm.

Just stack it, split later. It's about 20 and we have some snow coming, about 5 inches.

That's what bogydave always said but he isn't around much. I think he left the blaze king tending to his bride and went to warmer weather.

Looks like your weather was similar to ours. Little colder for us today, but no wind. Sure beats sitting still. Glad you like that saw too! Nice work!

That's what made it so nice today, very little wind.

I'll leave the cold weather work for you younger guys. I'll wait for a bit warmer weather, like in the 20's or 30's and preferably no wind.

IMG_3478.JPG I agree. This morning when it was -8, I sharpened some chains, cleaned up some things. Then fter it warmed up some, snuck out quick to grab a small load of black locust and buckthorn out back before heading off for some family time. We are going bowling. Have not done that in some time.

It really was not bad and this young man was chomping at the bit to run the new saw.

I hear you on that one. I'm in the same boat as the saw isn't even broke in yet. But I will be patient.

Hope you don't get hit too hard with the coming storm. So far it appears the forecasters are missing the boat again with the forecast. Looking at the radar at midnight it doesn't look like there is much out there yet. We'll see.

Not any snow to speak of coming here just the cold snap. Still have the kitchen chairs to burn yet.
