I plowed snow for the first time this year this week. Looks like the second time will be in just a couple days.
Funny. Sorry I don't have the camera working right now but it is 9 degrees outside now but sunny. There is just a little snow on the wood cover on our porch and it is melting from the sun. Guess we still get some solar gain.
Temps have warmed up nicely and we are now barely below zero...right around -4. But, the wind has picked up and the wind chill is around -20. I just found out that the local Wal Mart even put out a cold weather advisory for today..............Yes, Wal Mart!!!! They warned everyone to wear two pairs of pajamas before they come shopping today!!!
4f now the winds starting up . We had good round oak slab burning last night . Keep eye on in coming polar vortex this next week.. sounds kinda nasty. Sent from my LGL84VL using Tapatalk

2F this am when I loaded the boiler, got up to 16 with sun & pretty calm winds. Cut fence rows for about 4 hrs. It was very nice out. 13 now & dropping, but still very little wind. Snow predicted overnight again. Ash & Oak in the boiler.
Coldest day so far in our little holler in GA. Went down to my old woodshop and got some oak that's probably 5-6 yrs old or older, it was 22" long for the big Fisher stove down there. Took our big 14" radial arm and 15" chop saw and cut it in half. Loaded up a load N/S last night in the Drolet Blackcomb stove. Nice and toasty in our '95 double wide this morning.
After the 8-12 inches we get Sunday night into Monday. Howes,Diesel 911 and fuel filters will be the name of my game for the next week.
28*....69*...oak n ash brewin .....mid 30s tomorrow....hope the majority of this ice on driveway is gone before the "BIG FREEZE"
15 here, but no wind so it just feels cool and crisp. Afternoon load of red maple finishing up, looks like more red and some sugar up next, though I still need to bring it in. Got tied up with truck work and de-icing here and away this morning, then came home and Mrs Papi put me into a food induced nap with a nice hot lunch.
