This is the ridge that got hit hard last May 21 with some high winds, pic 9016 is a Cherry with a Maple underneath, 9017 is looking down from the Cherry, pic 9018 is a Cherry that landed on a broken off Birch, pic 9019 looks to be a couple of Maples, Sugar I hope. I came in from the backside.
Zap, looks like you have a nice clearing down below to stage from. Pic 18, is that trunk hung up? Pic 19 look slike a decent area to work in. Is this for monday?
Yes on pic 18, if it comes off when I'm cutting near the base my end will come up real quick, I'll get a better pic of the whole tree. I have some downed branches in the backyard from the ice storm I promise the wife would be gone by tomorrow, then when that's done I'll do some stacking so I'm planning on the middle to the end of the week for the above pics, all depends on the weather. The worst part of the one Cherry is all the limbing up, I'll bring the pole saw just incase. This is the area (near pic 19) I want the cabin, it's easy to get into with the Rhino or sled an it gets a chit load of sun.

Looks like you'll replace the wood you burned this winter pretty fast Good size trees build up the stacks fast.
I purchased plans years ago, I'm not sure on the size of those plans but something smaller will be built if things workout.
It's been a long month but hopefully things are looking up at work. Spent the last month on the road dealing with integration issues at the company we are building this new product for. The good news is everything seems to be working out ok (finally) and I am finally back in my own bed and not living out of a hotel room! I am so far behind on everything that needs done here after being gone for that long that it's not even funny. Took a few evenings after work the first week to just relax but desperately need to get some wood split so I don't fee like a slacker lol.
So you are replaced last years burnt wood already & now you're replacing the replacement wood, or is that done too & you're replacement wood is getting replaced ?
