833C796D-EA24-43A1-9C39-85411FAF9602.png It’s no coat Friday at the hockey games. I can manage these temps for about 4 hours with just a hoodie. After that I need to move around a little to warm up. Forgot my hat and gloves.

    • Inanimate objects do not cool below ambient (actual) air temperature
    • Windchill only affects living tissue, that’s why it’s often called the “feels like” temperature

So does that mean windchill doesn't affect me, because there have been multiple times Mama Bear has told me that "I am an unfeeling bunghole!" And that is a lot nicer than she said it!

It will, what it is, is what it will be. That's why we do what we do. Better than sweating in the 90's.

I can deal with 90's though. Just me and my feed thong in a pool. Lol

-7 at this hour. Fell asleep at 8PM and woke up at 2:30 wide awake and ready to fire up the hearth. Gotta nice crackling blaze going from embers left from last night. Temps are supposed to moderate here today ahead of 4-8" of snow tomorrow night into Monday before the bottom falls out down to -20f by Wednesday.
Heading out fishing in a bit here with my nephew.

11 here with light snow. Burning down red elm coals. Going to my favorite neighbors if I can get back to woods. There is slot of mud under this snow. We will see if it insulated the ground.

20 feels like 13, 76 inside burning down coals. Fairly quiet here until Wednesday’s predicted storm, and that looks messy again. :headbang: Then the polar vortex is moving over from the Midwest on Thursday and into next weekend. That’s shaping up like a real wood stack reducer.
We’re up slightly on snow fall this winter, but they’re getting buried up north. Caribou set a new record for January with over 101”
