Got in touch with Woodstock today and put my deposit down. Also confirmed that this stove will come with an outdoor air kit. It sounds like they have gotten a decent amount of interest in the stove but not that many people pulling the trigger. People are waiting to see pictures of the non-Navajo stoves. Thus, I think I will be getting one of the first shipped stoves. Now I gotta figure out how quick I can get a chimney installed!!

I've been dealing with a little bit of cold feet on ordering this stove due to how small it is but the price point is hard to beat. Any other stove I am considering is >$1000 more. Given my house's envelope, I am convinced that the heat produced by a stove will last longer than the 6-8 burn time. And frankly, with only a 18,000Btu/hr peak demand, I think the risk of over heating the house during a 10+ hour burn is real. The passive solar gain we get on our first floor is a beautiful thing.

The stove is finally here! I wont be getting it installed until late this summer but I figured I would share some pictures. The stove is built very similar to my old Ideal Steel but its about half as wide. You will see a circular style cat and the air path is significantly different than the Ideal Steel. I had this stove built with an outdoor air kit which required quite a bit of modification on their end. The most notable thing is the weight of this door. It is an absolute tank.

So far as I know it is working great. The Indians surely love it but I don't know or have any feedback from other owners.

TurboDiesel , I understood they didn't want to offer it to the public, because of the special type of coal that the Navajo used thats indigenous to that area.. They designed and built that stove for that type of coal... Its a dirtier type of coal, etc

I am alive! I realized I have been delinquent on updating this post. Unfortunately we had to abort our install due to challenges with the chimney installation. We built an air-tight house that would require an AOK. Logistically, the only place we could install the stove was the basement. I realized after purchasing that stove that AOKs in basements are a no-no and that the potential for a reversed draft exist. This concern was echoed by Woodstock and we decided to pull the plug. Woodstock graciously accepted the stove back and provided a full refund.
