I know the feeling. I picked up my trumpet a couple years back, I hack using the Real Book, at some Miles, Coltrane etc stuff. If I can get 8 bars to sound like anything near what they make it sound like I take it as a Spiritual Experience.

Enjoy the music and keep playing!

I loved when they had that as the intro to Moonshiners. Hated that they changed from that theme song.

This cold snap has got me tending the stoves and spending more time inside enjoying my record collection. Someone told me vinyl is back! I never knew it was gone! :)

Here's a totally under appreciated blues band from the early 70s, with huge talent.

I listened to Hush Hush earlier. Never heard of The Seigal Schwall Band. Cool. I have enjoyed listening to some of Steely Dan’s stuff of the years.

Here are a few I keep coming back to, both brilliant:

The phenomenal late Michael Petrucciani of France plays Caravan.

American pianist duck Hyman plays Jelly Roll Morton's Finger Breaker:

Lately I have been also been listening to a lot of the late Roy Clark string recordings, and love all music. As Louis Armstrong said, "If it sounds good, it is good."
