Love the anorak jacket! Did you use a pattern or just kinda free form? All hand stitching or machine?I have contemplated starting one if I could find a pair of 100% wool blankets on the cheap to not feel bad about dismembering.

What are the winter doldrums? Seems there is always something to do no matter what the weather is. But I freely admit that when it gets cold outside it gives me more time to play chess.

It was all hand stitched, made from 1 blanket. Just laid a fleece shirt out on it to get the pattern, only seems are up the sides and the "collar" if you want to call it that. Still debating if I want a pocket or just a separate hand warmer sleeve. I did cheat and used a 90% wool blanket only because the only cheap 100% i found at the time was blue. Still need to sew a hem at the bottom. Harbor freight actually has 80% blankets for 11 bucks. Not to sure how heavy they are.

I wouldn't call mine the doldrums, just more time inside on my hands since it gets dark so early.

I like the beard, manly shirt, stern look, tough working hands. . . and "love" written on the wall.

did you put that up on the wall yourself?

Of course I did, I mean how else would it be so level. Na actually if i did it probably would slant. I don't take to many selfies so i haven't perfected the art of seeing what's around me.
