They did cut down the past two months, was only getting 2-3 eggs a day, but this was due to shorter days, not necessarily the cold. Now the days are gradually getting longer, we had 5 yesterday, and 8 today.

Pittsburgh ended up with about 2 inches. Driveway and sidewalk cleaned and salted in late am - 1/2 later clear concrete.

Made it to camp , off tomorrow. Was probably 6-8 in . The late rain knocked it down to about 4. Sled will be off the trailer in an hour or so just to goof around and make sure it's running ok. The closest trail parking is about 5 miles away. In the am the plan is to load and trailer to the trails an see how they are

Just saw this saying, love it and a good reflection:
When the weatherman says there is a big storm coming, people panic.
When the preacher says Jesus is coming, people pay no attention.

Lights flicker twice on two separate occasions. My buddy who used to work for a utility company said usually the third flicker trips the fuse out on the pole. With the OWB electric controlled damper and blower, circulation pump and furnace blower needed to heat this place, the generator has been moved to the front of the hanger.

ETA: Just flickered twice, for the third time.

3 inches of snow in the south hills of Pittsburgh. The temperature stayed at around 37 degrees yesterday afternoon, evening and most of the night so it just rained the entire time. It changed over to snow at about 0400 this morning. Wind chill advisory for tonight as temperatures will be in the single digits.

Just measured 13 inches on the deck, except for 15-17” by the grill where it drifted. No big deal, path has been shoveled and the grill is lit. Got to wait for all that ceramic mass to come up to temp, but we’ll be cookin in no time.

Holy cow Brian. I'm betting your hand about froze. I would not that without gloves for sure. Right hand does it all; steer and maneuver the bucket. Geeze, my hand hurts just from watching. Think I'll put some mittens on.

Temp dropped from 39ºF to 25ºF in about an hour and a half. Headed precipitously for single digit temps. Salted the walkways and driveway as they are slick, slippery ice now. I'd use just sand but I couldn't find my sand shaker-outer. Hope the roads are good as I'm headed for Logan.
