Easy wood ID I think my guess is good

    CD6380A0-5731-47D9-BC56-71CD33E2EBAF.jpeg D9104357-62F4-413A-A71D-100BB25DAF34.jpeg cutting a tree top. The lower, larger diameter parts are pretty bland looking but the smaller diameter branch cuts are bright orange with nearly 50% moisture content

    I am thinking red maple and the cold temp has affected the color. Osage orange maybe? I the larger part of the trunk loses color.

    All the Hedge I’ve came across looks like a yellow highlighter split. And it has a milky sticky sap
