I've never felt so old!

We're celebrating Christmas this coming weekend with the whole family. So of course I decided tonight would be a good time to start shopping especially for my granddaughter who is seven.

What the bloody heck is a Lol doll, Pikmi pop or Hatchimal???

Am I really that old?? Wait, don't answer that. Let me live in a state of denial for a little longer.

 

I know what a hatchimal is. That's it though of those 3.

 

My daughter loves the LOL dolls. Stupid expensive for little bits of crap. Oh yeah, it takes about 5 minutes to open all the individual packages.

 

We have found it easier shopping for our grandkids, especially for Christmas, by taking them shopping for their Christmas gifts. We hang onto them until we get together with them for Christmas. They get exactly what they want and you don't look so out of step with the younger generation.

I had to tell Hanes to (not) kiss my butt! (anymore)...I told my wife, "I dunno what changed, but these things are obviously designed BY, and FOR women!" I seriously looked at the package to check if it was labeled "womens"...can just see some joker mixing packages of womens undies in with the mens stuff...

Found Fruit of the loom to be much better gooder!
Have a new package (minus one pair) of Hanes here that someone can have! And "I pity the foo" that can wear 'em!

This morning the wife and kids have a two hour delay. Roads are a little nasty here, not a lot of snow but had some freezing rain and now snowing on top of it. I will get a workout in by bringing in some more firewood in addition to some walking and strength training exercises before I go off to the enjoyment center. I need to keep after losing a few of those extra pounds.

 

Challenging, says the mayor. It's challenging cause no one can seem to plan ahead or use their brains in town, citizens and council alike. If they'd cleared drainage in advance instead of after the weather started, maybe things would have been different.

 

Another clear day here. It has been a busy week so far. I am looking forward to Friday already especially since it is payday.

Don't feel bad, same thing here I just learned what a LOL Doll is and a Hatchimal is back in Nov when my daughter asked for one of them for her BDay. I think she got an LOL Doll for Xmas as well.

We should have a good tim,.if we don't get snowed out. Talking 3 to 18 inches of snow on our travel route.

Came down to drop off the presents early and help my mother get ready, just in case we don't make it Saturday.

 

I think the issue is people see the commercial as equating a man as less of a man before the #metoo movement started. That it was common to abuse, degrade, etc. women and now we shouldn't do it.

My father taught me to honor, respect and protect my wife and daughter and women in general. Unfortunately there will always be scum that don't.
