    Any particular distro?

I learned on Debian, then switched over to RedHat, before they went commercial.
Have tried Ubuntu and Gentoo as well.

Still think Debian is/was about the best.

TMI, sorry, but some may appreciate it.

Some men are particular with their drawers. We cannot buy the particular brand/model/fabric here locally and the long worn and washed house supply has worn out and been in short supply for a year or so. They Are On Sale Now!! For Hoarders that prefer all cotton boxer briefs, use both discount codes for a great deal:)\

7-Pack Hanes Men's FreshIQ ComfortSoft Boxer Briefs $9.35 + Free Shipping

Dang...cant remember. I helped more with the hardware set up. Built up 4 identical boxes so the software install was identical. Less work getting drivers to work, etc.

We started looking at it with Redhat, but it wasn't what installed eventually.

Chaz talking Linux, my college roommate, an Electrical/Computer Engineer (late 80s) was big into Linux at its beginning. He couldn't find drivers for some of the hardware he was running, so he wrote drivers for them.

Me...I thought I was smart since I knew how to operate a pencil sharpener. :)

IDK Chaz, it's crazy! Seems like we had a lifetime supply of socks and drawers for all of us during the High Park wildfire and then 2 other following evacuations, now they have all gone threadbare, used as rags, or tossed. The CRAZIER part is, the fad is synthetic fabric which dear husband does not like. So I'm quite happy tonight to post the under drawers he prefers to wear including waist band, fabric and shape are ordered and on the way---but at a decent price ")

Remaining items we still need are new socks. Who would ever know a common person could be a sock snob?!? Woops, we are. They'll pop up at some time online just like his underroos:)

I'm sure you have a "few" more skills than pencil sharpening.
    ;)

I never dove that deep, but it was an area of interest that I had.

There's no real IT market here, and I was completely disincentivized through my work experience, so I left it behind and started a new "chapter" in my life.

Could be better, could be worse, but I do live by my decisions.

Thanks for the advice - I think. Kind of scary end to your message. I am going to do some research and see what I can come up with. I work okay with computers but I don't delve too deep into the software and insides of computers. Homegroup was so simple to use and practical.

Not so scary really, at least not on this end.
    :)

If I had more current advice to offer, I would, but alas, being out of the field for 16 years, my current knowledge is inadequate.

Called the bank yesterday... I guess it was Google Fiber (my tv & internet provider) has a funny way of asking for there money which tripped trigger. So false alarm, but still weird... and after 4 or 5 years you'd think the systems would know each other....

Caffeine and breakfast with my father today. A visit with Mom after she wakes up and then take their garbage and ours to the transfer station. Then it will be time for the woods.:tractor::saw:

    Have a good day hoarders.
