Trying to figure how many pieces of wood in a cord. With no space I figured 864 4”x 4” pieces 16” long. 552 5” x 5” pieces Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I'm not checking your math but I will tell you I load a lot of wood by hand and have counted a ton of cords as I was sending them off to my customers. Most of my counts have been done due to the fact that my truck holds 2 full cords and I may deliver 1 cord to 2 different homes on the same trip or 4 half cords to 4 different homes on the same trip. My wood is cut to 16" and my splits probably average around 4"-4.5". Most cords come in around 650-700 pieces.
I'm not sure what's goin' on there, but now I wanna' know how many hot dogs in a cord of.......hot dogs.
I was always top guy in math but in this one I ask why? Besides, where would you find wood that is stackible with no spaces? What about knots? My wife needs to know this? But fear not, she doesn't even know how to stack wood.
It is a win-win if it is corndogs, battered emulsified meat fried in grease and you get the sticks to burn! How many corndog sticks in a cord?
