A little wood therapy today with the Kubota. I think the poor girl felt neglected during deer season.

And then she had to get dressed for her next job. Plowing the driveway tomorrow. 20190112_153837.jpg

    Thanks Well Seasoned

    Thanks Maina .

I am going to try to copy what I had posted in another thread a while back when I traded out the wing nut for a toggle latch. This thing started out as an closeout purchase of a mad dog saw bar bracket from cables a few years ago. It was $6. If you need or want more pix than this for something specific, let me know. It is nicely out of the way to the right of the loader controls.

    Cut + Paste attempt:

Even if I'm not working firewood, I do like to have a saw along on the tractor. No matter if it is working at a hunting property, bush hogging, or doing anything unrelated to firewood, a downed limb or tree in a trail can derail us all. :headbang:

The bracket itself works pretty great. So, why not fiddle with it? LOL

The time it takes to loosen the wing nut, and/or remove a glove to do so, has grown to annoy me. I know, we are talking about a whopping 30 seconds, at most. I'm not sure what I expect really. Some sort of quick draw saw competition... The saw down at the O.K. Coral?

Anyway, I removed the bolt and wing nut to add a toggle latch that I had salvaged from something else. Now securing or removing the saw from the bracket is not only much faster, but I can do it while still using gloved hands. :saw:

My brother came over and helped me install a 3rd valve kit for my b2650.

Now I have to get a quick attach plate for my plow and some new hoses.

I had chance to skid a little before a family party today. It was cold but very easy going. A friend had helped me cut some last weekend, and we had piled them to wait for snow and for the ground to firm up.

I have 3 sliders and an end hook, and 6 chokers. So I pull two logs and hook the chokers to the winch frame, and then pull in 4.

    The skid is all downhill.

Usually I wouldn’t have stacks in the way, but we are running out of landing room this year.

Looks like a nicely thinned wood lot, great pictures you have of it and your tractor at work.

We run a bale grabber off a set of long lines run up from the rear remotes. Not ideal, but it works well. I’d much rather have hard lines and the third function.

Our 'Bota doesn't have rear remotes either. It will be a costly conversion either way. Tractor has pin-on loader now. I will have to get quick attach plate for loader and bucket, and diverter valve or 3rd function valve and lines....:makeitrain":makeitrain"
