Wow, those lit-up boats are fantastic! I guess it's a tradition up there, hmm? I wonder if other harbours do it as well. Anyway, they are stunning, much better than lit-up houses!
That community in particular is known for it and it's an organized community event almost all the boats take part in, but I did see a boat lit up in one other community that has a much smaller boat population. Mind you in some places many of the boats are taken up for the winter. I agree, houses are often overdone....the boats are more unique.
I would like to visit NFLD and your picture solidify that interest. I like to watch a guy named William Larkham on Youtube to get my fix of vicarious "big land" living.
