As you can see there are several models of each. I don't know the difference betweek a straight XC 700 and a XC 700 SP

I had a 1999 550 super sport fan. Was a nice sled single rider that rode good. But I had ridden my 1981 340 liquid TX XLT for so many years I missed the heat excangers keeping the running boards warm and clear of snow.

The 550 touring was a two up machine not sure if electric start and reverese was standard or not.

the 550 Classic was a single up sled that came standard with reverese, electric start and mirrors.

My present sled is a 2001 500 classic liquid cooled reverese, electric start and mirrors.
Longer travel suppention thand a XC model.

Ohhhhhh! Is that a Ford Granada? Lol. Could be one square Ford chick magnets ( or similar). Lol. I had a Robin's egg blue 79 Granada as my first car. All three of us boys started in that car. No wonder we didn't date in high school.

Unfortunately it had a straight 6 and a c6 tranny, so it was reliable. And it ran forever.

From all the info I’ve been able to gather from the family, it’s these two models. Both pull (not electric) start, but one of them does have reverse, I’m not sure which one though I suspect it’s the 550 Classic.

We have a lot of young adults here who have never ridden a sled, so I’m thinking of picking up a 340 - 380 fan cooled touring sled to let them learn on. (And I doubt I’ll let any of them on the 700!)

This one is currently listed on Craigslist for instance: 40767CA8-27F5-49DF-8704-D97BBCD4EE06.png

Lol. We've got even more in common then. I was telling my wife about my blue vinyl seats that would burn your legs and back. She was laughing her a$$ off.

We got some real good snow these past two days. I'm thinking the trails will be pounded this weekend!

So we put up Mom's 94 Indy 500 EFI for sale. She won't be riding ever again. At $850 it has garnered a lot of interest, now that there's some snow up north. It's priced right as well. Guys with older 90-92 models with no reverse are going for 700.

After work I tore around the house with my redneck ranger and its gaudy Nascar esque paint job. She's and endearing sled though... Light enough and strong enough to pull wheelies, starts every time, reliable, and the handling ain't bad.
