Well, the west winds have come. Started last night right after the thunder and lightning around midnight. Been blowing ever since. Haven’t had thunder and lightning in January in many, many years.

Modern technology. Ugg! Some costly equipment is coming close to hitting the wall.
My Internet had been slowing down for the last week or so. Yesterday I had no internet for the afternoon and evening. Today computer wouldn't connect, Google Hub couldn't connect and 3 tablets either no connection or very very slow.
I called the provider and he said his end was working good and I couldn't get on Edge or Foxfire because it was my computer. I kind of figured it was my router or his antenna.
I bought a new router and a laptop today. The only instruction on the router was to get the App from …..com. What the heck. I got the router because I didn't have internet connection. Da. How stupid can these people be?
My grandson showed up with his smartphone, several attempts and an hour later router is up and running. 5 minutes and we got the hub running.
Three beers later, router, computer and Hub up and working and 1 tablet working. Two tablets to go and the new laptop.
Hope I maintain my sanity and nothing bounces off the wall.

Here's the tv and temporary AV storage solution.
    20190109_175201.jpg
We originally wanted to put a 4-5' wood rack below against the wall, but now we are reconsidering that. The green Rubbermaid tub for wood storage will go away, replaced with something more visually appealing. The green tub worked before, when the big TV hutch was there to hide it.

It's so much better already. Who would've thought that putting in a much bigger tv would give us more room?

It might take a while for me to get there, but I can try out my mountain dew powered single stream ice melter.

I went to help the sales manager at one of my customers with his plow tonight. He bought a house with a pretty steep long driveway, so he bought a plow truck. Smashed the mounting jack into the pump and wedged it solid.

Managed to hose my leg down with fluid when I had the hydraulic lines off. He lives on 5 wooded acres, and only has a fireplace. This could work out well for me

Around here you won't find any of those style on the road. They all rusted out. My wood cutting buddy had one until 2 years ago, and the only reason his was running was because he's a good mechanic. That and he has been known to not care about rust. Plus we don't have inspections around here for anything more than emissions.

Polkaudio :dex: I have the same Subwoofer. I can turn the dials on the back and shake my whole house. My wife got sick of the tower speakers so I bought a nice sound bar. I will not get rid of the subwoofer tho...My girls and I are on the same page.

I'd never do that!! Instead, a wire clothes hanger for muffler, duct tape on cv joint boots, expanding spray like "Great Stuff" on holes from rust, parked on hills for 4 months when my starter was out, and holding my arm out window to squirt water bottle when wiper wash spray was down. Yeeesh, people these days!

Back in the 60's, a couple guys I know had their fuel pump fail. They had a gas can and a hose and held it out the window and let gravity feed the carburetor! Made it back just fine!

Pretty much, yup. Never winter driven and well under coated. The inside has more rust than outside haha

Ohio is that way too...emissions testing in some counties only...mainly the ones that have large cities in them
