True that! And sustained winds out there, too! (no thanks)

We will see up to 60 mph at our house... it always gusts thru this piece of landscape in town higher than elsewhere locally.

It’s all as tightened up as I can do...
We’ll see what of it tomorrow.

I stopped at Menards after work, and bought a tv wall mount for our new TV. I got it installed tonight. I'll take pictures of the finished product tomorrow, but there is the mount on the wall. It's a double arm wall mount.

The bigger TV, and no TV hutch actually gives us a lot more room in the room with the insert.

The way the wind blows in my neighborhood batters my neighbors 50 yards down the street. They might be seeing 30+ mph winds, and the only way I know is that i can hear it blowing past on the water

Now that our guests have left and the party is over, (Sunday was back to normal day) the house can return to a more normal temperature. We keep it around the high 60's low 70's day time temps. For sleeping wee both like a cooler house. Last night was actually low 60's (62-63 ish) and I think I got 5 hours of straight sleep! But then, every dog gets a bone now and again!

Up early this morning as campinspecter has a dental appointment down island - 2 1/2 hrs driving if there is no snow on the road. We don't have snow but there is some farther down. It was rather windy yesterday.

Second day back to work and the cold that has been haunting me for the last month has taken a turn for the worse. I will see how today goes. I am considering DayQuil for today.

Feel better, I got over the little crap I had thankfully.

2 1/2 hours is quite a drive for a visit to the torture chamber! Wish campinspecter luck!

Anything major is usually that distance. He definitely has my prayers for his safety.

Nothing more detrimental in this somewhat partially (that's stretching it) insulated old farmhouse. I am happy we don't get anything like what you experience WW although every now and then we get some winds through these gently rolling hills more so then the flatland's or valley's. Wreaks Havoc on this old house and the Harman's go into overdrive to maintain .
The house is a Post and Beam and has managed to stand for over 160 years through some serious storms I am sure although she is a leaner as at some point someone removed key cross bracing for doorways (dang fools) and its way out of plumb.
You can keep them winds out west ! wildwest
