Working on primarily cherry now. Also had a few leftover I joists that I figure I would try and make some stacks on, hopefully they stay upright.

    I'm sure glad you found that with the splitter and not the saw. I like how you lift the rounds to the super split with the grapple. that is the only down side to having a super splitter.

    I was wondering also on the long term of that laminated beam. Do you have it at a slight angle so it drains water to one end or have you drilled drain holes in them??? Enquiring minds want to know don't 'cha know.

    I actually put the big rounds on the hydro first and then they got to the SS for smaller splits.

    I'll keep you guys updated on the Laminated beam. I kept them off the ground with 6" PT. I did not drill any holes or pitch them for water runoff. Even if I can get 2-3 years out of them that's fine. Should be an interesting experiment to see how long they last. Just hope they don't fall over firsto_O
