    Fellow FHC and friend Brandon Scott gave me a very nice and large standing dead white oak, bur oak to be exact. So today was felling day. I used the 461 with a 28" bar/chain combo to put it to sleep.

    Not only did Brandon give me the tree, he used his skid loader with a grapple to move and hold the main section of the tree and helped cut it! That made short, clean work of the whole thing. The tree was down and bucked in 10 to 15 minutes.

    If that's not enough he put the bucket on and helped me abuse my Tacoma by loading rounds into it. Two truck loads for the main section. I'll go back on Monday to cut the top.

    Oh by the way, when it was all said and done today Brandon sent me home with a dozen of the best looking brown eggs I've seen in a long time. Jumbos they were.

    If I were ask to define kind or friend I'd just say Brandon Scott

    :salute::dex::handshake:

    I love it when FHC'ers can share! Most of us are too far apart. Nice work, gentlemen!

    We had a great time with nice weather. We both had big saws. I used my 395 and he had a 77cc Stihl, not sure of the model but it was a fantastic cutting saw! I wanted to time it but it was around 7 minutes to block it down. Without this site we would’ve never met. I told Ralphie I sell a little wood but mostly I give it away to older friends so they can stay warm in the winter. Not everyone around is covered up with dollars, just good people.

    I have enough dead ash to kill his truck. All he has to do is show up.
