Similar here Bob, single digits all day with subzero wind chill, just went below 0* an hour ago after the sun set and sometimes double digit subzero wind chill.

Thanks imacman , poor stove will have to burn dirty for another day, too cold to shut it down today. Though he did check the oak which is open.

    Happy New Year Pellet Pigs

Change is often full of doubt. You are the soul provider for your household so anxiety is expected. But you are a smart person and have a level head so I would say you are on the right track. You could have gone a much more risky rout changing jobs, so I am betting your choice was on solid footing.

wow, my son works for Consigli here in Maine. Currently working on a building in Waterville. He used to wear a tool belt and jeans. Now he is in decent street clothes and trying to coordinate the sub contracts. Always pouring over blueprints. I have to tell you he is very happy with his job and the benefits. Being responsible for the magnitude of this building project has been a huge undertaking. He took me for a ride one day and was showing some of the buildings he had been tasked with.

We had an early dinner at '99. Cindy had lobster on Mac and Cheese. I had a huge T Bone with baked potato and a salad. steak was way too big for me so I bought it home and gave the rest to Molly my lab. She was really pleased with it. I had to take the bone away after she cleaned it off. Didn't want broken teeth. So we will stay in tonight and have toast with each other as the ball drops. I feel so fortunate for our family on this forum. and very thankful to be around to welcome in the new year.

That is great news SM Consigli is still growing with over 1.2 billion on the books and now stretches from Maine down to Washington DC. I have met some of the people that work in Maine from Consigli as they are devoted to training sessions which include all of Consigli employee's . For a young person Consigli is a great place to be and a lot of younger people are being hired all the time, myself I have worked for them over seven years on large projects. In just the last 5 years I have worked on the Novartis campus over $700 million , Lovejoy Wharf $200 + million, and Harvard the job I have spent a year and a half at $200 million job that I am leaving for a new opportunity. In just the seven years I have worked for them they have grown tremendously from a small company outside of town to a competitor in Boston and now stretch from Maine to DC acquiring company's in NYC, upstate NY and setting up in Maine and Washington DC.

    Small world

    Happy New Years !!
    Everyone
