they make it nice even with the small vise i use to hold it on my bench it wont move and holds the chain nice and straight
Great idea. It’s easy to over do it when your on your strong side. I have had great results with the 2n1. My local sharpener guy butchered the last chains I took him. I haven’t been back since I bought the 2n1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That’s a great idea. Thanks! dall a Homelite vice would be great. Maybe for my birthday in April. I didn’t think he was still selling them. I will speak to the minister of finance
I ain't got your kind of money........... I do get the chain extra tight and set the brake as a go along.
I finally got around to using the saw for more than a test cut. I used the 261 with an older simi chisel that I sharpened with the 2n1 and I was more than satisfied. I was in shag bark and white oak and it cut perfectly. I'll be buying a 2n1 for 3/8s next time I'm at Ace.
Good catch, you were correct on the rakers being low. The chain I pictured was on a used saw I bought and used it to try the 2n1. I used the chain in the picture in oak for about a tank of gas and it cut straight and re-sharpened. All the rakers on one side were low and the file only touched a few of them while hitting all on the other side. The second time out it cut better.
