I can relate, I can’t see any house from mine. And the older I get the more I appreciate quiet.

We had a good work day today. We cut some Red Oak then loaded my friends truck with some seasoned Ash. He got stuck in the mud so we had to pull him out. After lunch be cut some more Red Oak and loaded my truck to bring it home. I actually feel like I got some stuff done today.

Looks like it handles the load well. I'm impressed.

Yessir and more if I can. I have plenty of room and of late I have been really enjoying having a few cords ready to go in the pole barn. Have about 4 cords of logs to buck and split.

My truck didn’t get loaded as much as my friends truck. We ran out of daylight and gumption.
Between loading his truck from the seasoned stacks and cutting and loading my truck plus the wood we left piled in the woods, we had a full day. Plus we had to pull his truck out of the muddy field, Daisy chain straps so I could stay on a hard surface for traction.

Yessir, slow and steady. Can’t burn a pickup load a day, trying to get some healthy amount. After a 12 hour day, I go cut wood, it’s the best part of my day. A work buddy likes to go, not turning down any free help. Lunch here and there when he talks about wanting a tool. I get them for him, he thinks he is getting the better end of things. He helped me get about 10-12 cords last year. And 5 pickup loads this year.

One of my firewood cutting buddies moved out of state for his job. I still send him picks of the stacks and he sends me pics of him surrounded by bikinis at the sand volleyball court on the beach. A good work buddy can’t be beat.
