Not really.... I got a shirt worth twice as much, shipped express,
and it made it in time for Christmas..
Maybe "you" would have an issue with that... but I don't..

Being a stickler when it comes to automated systems I do have major issues when they go bump in the night. I used get the wake up calls for them.

My last place was in the boonies and prone to power outages (up to several days at a time). When I moved, I brought my fair share of lighting equipment although I didn't bring oil lamps since the oil goes bad if you don't use it in a timely manner (found that out in 2008 ice storms)

I have 2 small LED flashlights in the kitchen (easy access when I clean the P43), a slightly larger LED light that can be hung or placed on a metal surface with a magnet, a flashlight downstairs by the P61a, a small LED camping lantern (easy access by my Ryobi batteries in the shop) and a couple of flashlights that are permanently plugged into outlets. Additionally I have plenty of candles and downstairs I have one LED overhead light that is battery operated and motion sensing.

Being prepared, and knowing where the stuff is, is always a good idea!

Bought 3 of these 30-day LED lanterns a year or so ago. Keep one in different corners of the house. Day-glo so when the lights go out, you can see them easily. Top (diffuser) comes off, 3 power (brightness) levels.

    Yup...really annoying.

I installed my doors and now they say I can't work on them...
I installed my entire central air system, wired it up, evacuated the A coil and lines, added R-22 to get the pressures correct, did all that stuff...and now I can't buy anything to fix any of this stuff.

Really gets my attitude muscle in a cramp ya know.

And when they pop me a huge $$$$$$$$$$$ to come do what needs to be done that I can get done in a few minutes I feel violated....... Financial Rape me thinks...

Next thing they will try is to tell us we need to pay somebody to put the pellets in the stove :picard:

    I don't.
If I get treated fairly, or especially more than fairly... I'm a happy camper.
I will never bash any place that does that.
    $hit happens... nothing is perfect.
I quit worrying about stuff like that a long time ago..

Unbelievable that it will last 30 days on low setting and 1.5 days on brightest. I may have to look into getting a couple of those to add to my cache.

It seems like every time the ladies fill up the stove here, I'm getting out the wallet. :makeitrain" :picard:

    That lantern looks cool, Pete.

These 'lantern' style led lights are really working out well here: they really throw the light when up off the ground.

Used w/ a led headlamp light, they really made getting the generator up-and-running / re-fueled when dark, a safe & quick procedure during the last outage.

re: Sears - today is the deadline for their re-org plan submission, or bankruptcy. :(

My "camping" lantern is like the ones pictured. Don't know how long it lasts on its 4-AA batteries because I really haven't had to test it.

I initially thought it would be too dim on the low setting, but it's perfectly bright enough to see just fine. Here's a couple pics into my bathroom w/o lights on....first is low setting, second is high:

Nice! and bright .. If I had to guess - the collapsible lantern style, w/ fresh batteries, is roughly the same. Very bright up close, w/ a good field of 8-12 feet around.

Just went to look and I have the Energizer pop-up lantern which is purported to run about 50 hours on the 4 AA batteries. Only difference is that mine only has one brightness - nicely lit up my living room which is about 12x14. Certainly not as good as having a 30 day light, but worked well during the power outage and while I was at the NE GTG Well Seasoned held.

    COOL LIGHT...

????You have a cat or dog ????

I see the lid down on the toilet.

We have a cat and she will wash her feet in the pot if its open.
Sphynx cats have large webs between their toes and they get full of kitty litter...

She always washes her feet after using the box.... now she uses her water bowl that we place in the sink.
