Looks like vanilla ice cream! I hope the snow isn’t like that all winter.

10 F with Maple and Ash overnight. Straight Pine in now because I can feed it again soon. This Wood Gun will chew through some dry Pine FAST!

20 here now with a 30 to 35 mph wind. Wind chill near zero. But fear not, Oak is defending the fort.

Perfectly still. Sunny. Balmy 32F. In NE IA on 12/18:yes: Hmmm. Heading for nearly 50F today. Unreal. Back to shoulder season.

Stove is chewing on its 3rd consecutive load of nothing but E.WH. Pine. Gotta love global warming:rofl:  Now to sharpen a couple chains and get after it! So much cutting to do.

And tonight I renew my snowmobile trail groomer operator license.... How odd. I will wear shorts and sandals to class....

About 22F right now. Burning mostly oak today. Got up early and been doing a large kitchen lay out. The hard part for me is the corner cabs and making sure everything will fit between two walls. Tomorrow I can start cutting parts. :) Hope you all have a good day.

image.jpg image.jpg Colder than forecast, imagine that for about the millionth time. It's not that -16C is blow the doors off cold, but we've been waiting for -5 C or 23 F since about 7 last night when it was supposed to show up.

An hour south, the weather is 10 degrees celcius warmer. Two hours north, it's 7 degrees celcius warmer. In fact, I'd need to drive about 10 hours north of here (Points North Landing) to get colder than here. The temp difference in this province blows my mind.

Put them in walking paths. Actually the walking paths are also atv paths. Wife likes to walk in the woods much better than walking on the road even if we are on a rural road with very little traffic. I don't blame here though.

We used to do that a lot but it's been a while now. Don't have a freezer any more.

I cut up a couple trees this morning. Will go back as soon as I'm done eating. Hopefully will remember to take the camera.

Day started out mostly cloudy with the sun peaking out here and there. Been holding around 25. We now have clear blue skies.

Sunny and 45. Boiler is still chewing on last night's load of black locust, oak, hickory, and hedge. How's that for a combo?

First row or just over a cord of wood is gone.

Currently 16°F having down to about 5°F overnight. Got about 5"of snow over the last 24 hours and it's still coming down. Winds have finally calmed though.

22 feels like 16 this morning and the oil burner is out again so no hot water. :headbang: I’m getting ready to shoot that damm thing and put it out of my misery! At least we’re nice and warm, still burning coals from last night. I tried bleeding the line but no bubbles so it’s not a fuel issue this time. We might get that heat pump water heater sooner rather than later. I hope everyone else is having a better Wednesday.
