Didnt bother to load the stove last night, only got down to 65 on the first floor. 58 in the bedroom this AM. Would have thought it was 55 and 48 from my wifes description when she woke me up coming to bed though.

Currently 35F and a load of Ash in the AS

34° here, we squeaked by with all rain, and it was pouring! I had hawthorn coals to relight from. That wood makes the most coals that I have experienced. Supposed to get to 40 or so today, so I'm hoping to get outside.

we had a sunny day yesterday for the 1st time in awhile, a lot of rain and warm the last few days. 30 now and lots of frost, hot coals from sugar maple in the house and shop created good fire with a reload.

Currently 29°F with snow. Gonna touch 34°F for a high before this cold front brings more snow and wind, with a low of 16°F tonight.

33 feels like 27. We have 3-4” of snow and it’s snowing again now after a little rain so it’s really heavy :headbang: I hate wet heavy snow! Glad I haven’t put the blower on yet, the box blade will work better for this. 78 IAT, I reloaded on a thick coal bed about 6:30 so the office is warm for the wife today. Looks like rain Friday and Saturday might wash away any snow we get today but it’s gonna freeze up in between so it’s gotta be cleaned up. It’s supposed to end here by around 3.

On a happier note, I just had a metal roof installed on the house, garage, and barn. No more roof raking again!!! Raking on the roof over the stove on the north side which doesn't see sun until spring was a must even for just a few inches due to ice dams.:dancer::dancer:

Another mild day here in the mid 40's with sunshine. Boiler was burned down to just a few coals this AM. Loaded it up with some oak and hickory.

It's a pretty raw 40°, no sun and the wind is picking up, supposed to be really bad tomorrow. I got my oak nubs chopped and in the dog crate anyway. IMG_20181217_46644.jpg
