My property is all on a hill. The lower two pictures are with camera level for reference. Two quick logs before I worked the ground too much 33F3EFDC-D08E-4652-9A27-6F20522A681F.jpeg 29C6CD07-9E4B-42B5-A3D3-F75008A1BE20.jpeg 4308EF8D-BAC3-4915-BFF6-A517FBF0AB36.jpeg F40B9439-D6FE-4A7D-97A5-F37DBB5C5266.jpeg

    Looking good!
How does your tractor handle the angle on the hill when dragging the logs out?

Same Woodsnwoods on my 22 acres about 3 is flat. Good news is when my daughter gets old and says I walked uphill both ways to school. She won't be lying even if it's just by driveway:D

The hills are a bit challenging at times. I try to make all loaded runs straight down the hill. I try to pull them to the tractor to avoid any side ways action. Keep bucket low and the winch base, just in case. Hoping for some cold cold weather to freeze it up!

My Grandfather used to tell us that he had to walk 5 miles to school uphill both ways and barefoot! He'd say that in the winter they would have to wrap barbed wire around their feet to gain traction!

Ha! Mine used to practice tight rope walking to school in the winter as he could just step onto the telephone lines and walk above the drifts.
