What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

I have the kid multiple days next week, school vacation. I'll be needing some fresh viruses by then. Next year I'm going to ask for the extra-strength flu vaccine for the elderly, who am I kidding.

 

I miss beer. I haven't had any alcohol all week.

 

Well, there is a nice fresh painted floor in the workshop.

The coffee pot is in the kitchen. Between the coffee pot and the workshop lies a set of stairs. After filling the coffee ckup and then heading down the stairs for the morning computer ritual, some coffee always manages to make a run for it and escapes the confines of my cup. It dries and leaves a stain on the new floor, I wipe it up but obviously........not well enough!

Last night, I put the coffee maker on the work bench right next to the computer. That'll do it!

 

Yesterday, while in the kitchen eating some of those Christmas treats 99 made....oops!.......I mean checking on their safety and well being...........99 gives me a stare as says-

"You do know that I'm not making any more of those so once they're gone, they're gone!"

Crap! Another plan failed!

 

Got to bed about midnight last night, just got to sleep about 1, and the bat phone rings at 1:30. Got back to sleep about 2:30 and it rings again. Finally got to sleep around 3:30 and woke up at my regular 5:30 for good. Going to be a long day.

 

Pouring rain here and almost summer temps. We have been and will be hit with storm after storm coming up from the tropics. Lots and lots of rain. Our island ski hills won't be opening for awhile. I just want an inch of snow on Christmas Day but the weather forecasters are saying it will be a green, green Christmas this year.

Last day of work for the week. Yeah! One of my co-workers created a tree out of textbooks for our office. I will try to remember to get a picture to show you. It looks quite neat.

 

I don’t drink a LOT. But I do enjoy one or two cold ones before dinner once, sometimes twice a week. Or around a bon Fire.

There you go. Got me thinking about it. Now I have to have a bon Fire soon and two beers. This is your fault you know.

No, this one is in 99's basement. I have to have a tad more finesse!

 

Today was decent. It got up to 47° or so. I got some wood in, then sat in the sun and peeled some rotten bark off some white oak rounds. I think the flu is just about done. Thanks for everyone's concern.

 

I failed miserably at taking the day off. Worked until 9:15 then ran out the door to make my daughters Christmas show at her school. Took her to McDonald's after.....so I could use their wifi and take care of a hot order that needed to go in. Then we went out for a bit, then back home for several more hours of work. Walked away with still several things undone.

 

Well to be fair, the one that lasted less than a year was already, used, it was at that point 6 years old so it lasted 7. The one that lasted me 5, was used at that point. So it may have lasted a total of 10? The last one I listed was legit 3 years old and died. AND until the last 5 years it was just my wife and i. The last 1 or more has been on the brand new whirlpool. The prior 3+ of my son alive was on that Kenmore that lasted 3 years.

There is only like 3 companies that make them all.

 

So much for summer temps. Had to drive through a snowfall to get home for lunch. I don't think it will stick for very long but you never know. Watching a curling game taking place in Newfoundland. The local favourite is losing the game.
