Just remembered that I had taken a picture of some wood chips. Seems the power company has been working in the area trimming so I told them I'd be happy to accept the wood chips if they wanted to get rid of some. Got 2 loads so far. I've taken about half of them back into the woods so far.

The day started out spending 1 1/4 hours in the Medieval Torture Chair (dentist office). I hate that place.
Filled up indoor wood rack, paid bills and spent time here.
Made up 2 batches of Carmel Corn, 3 bowls of Pizzelle Batter and a batch of Peanut Brittle for Christmas give-a-ways.
Need to make at least 2 more batches of Pizzelles, another batch of Carmel Corn and another 2 batches of Peanut Brittle yet.

I just got home from taking the family to a farm about an hour north of here for. Christmas event they have every year.

Came home to a cool house. Pretty sure it's at least 20 degrees colder than Dennis' house right now.

Well, I may be retired but I ain't in that boat yet! Usually around 68 inside temps here.

If I want the extra heat, the kicker stove in the basement gets lit for an afternoon or evening.

73 indoors here. Goes up a little if we're doing some heavy duty cooking in the kitchen. I don't cut wood to be anything less than warm.

Pond I go by every day in Deering, next town over from mine, is now being used for bicycle racing - yes, the ice is over 4" thick. Saw on the Deering Police FB page that people are starting to walk on Deering Lake too. that can get iffy because it has some weird currents.

Early start this morning taking my son to school for a field trip with the outdoor club. They get to go to Lake Placid and watch some “Luge” (sp?) runs today. I guess it must be training they are doing. Should be pretty cool for them to see. Now it’s time to get a few things done around the barn and house before I’m off to the enjoyment center.

that is sad. I'm going into year 6 for my front loader Samsung washer and dryer. I've had 4 washers in 31 years - 3 of those front loaders (so average 8 years each). Actually, #3 washer may still be going but I left it with the previous house so have no way of knowing. This is the 1st dryer I've had, so I have no idea how long they should last.

I got a Bosch front loader from Craig's list cheap. 10 years ago, still works great. We average 15 loads per week. Wife is OCD with bedding.

I'm going to pseudophed my way through the day. I need to at least bring more wood in the house. That woman who eats spicy food and likes to split wood is still a stranger to me.

Hope you feel better soon. Chicken Noodle Soup and plenty of water. And caffeine, after you wake from a nap!
