Got some work in on next years firewood this past weekend. It was a cold but I sure prefer it to the summer humidity.

Pulled some downed trees and tops out of the woods with my tractor. I purchased the tractor with the grapple from the previous property owner. It sure makes the work easier!

I got most of it bucked up and split. Black cherry, hard maple, ash, elm, sassafras, and some tulip poplar.

Getting close to finishing up next years wood. Then on to collecting my 2nd and 3rd year.

Firewood is a lot of work but the tools are sure fun!!

It can seem like a lot of work when you're trying to get to a 3 year plan. Once you get there it will be much more enjoyable with only having to replenish one years worth each year.

Nice looking setup! I'm guessing your in the northern part of the state by the snow. I'm just west of Indy, we don't get much snow here.

They make a solenoid diverter switch for those tractors that don't have 3rd function or remote rear outlets. It ties into the tilt cyclinder line and toggle control switch mounts on the joystick. If I put a grapple on our tractor, this is what I will have to do. Here is a link to one I found on eBay.
