    36 outside this morning...supposed to hit 45 today. Looks like a good stretch of 10 days or more with highs in the 40's.

    Haven't made it out to the boiler yet.

    Coal burn down time. They are getting deep and the boiler is due for a cleanout.

    Whatever cold pocket (relative to everywhere else in Sask) we were stuck in seemed to disappear overnight. Settled in a low n slow fire but woke up sweating because the temp rose so much. Currently sitting at -5 C or 24 F. Hope the trend continues. Poplar as always heating the way.

    Are you expecting the storm that passed over us last night? We got a big dump of snow but now the sun is out for a short time. Its -3c/26f and very bright outside.

    There's a chance of snow in the forecast, but mostly it's a warm up with the wind picking up from the west or north west. I saw on weather.gc.ca on the jet stream map, a low pressure system over NE Alberta or NW Sask., so I think that hopefully that's where it's headed. And it's my understanding if the pressure is rising like it is here, the weather is supposed to be better than if it's dropping. But who knows? We'll probably get a snowstorm with record low temps and amounts of snow now.:D

    A bit of a warm spell Tom? Hope everyone is stocked up on batteries as there is not much sunlight for you now. But it won't be long it will start going the other way for you. Colder, but gradually more sunlight.

    Looks like Friday and Sunday to hit 40 here. 39 on Saturday. Will feel good I'm sure but might make things a bit greasy. I'll be heading out to the woods soon.

    Overcast and holding at the moment at 30. Nice at 76 inside. Might get a little snow tonight but not enough to worry about.

    Howdy. Never stepped into this thread before. The outside 2 stacks for the garage heat are all white ash. Beech and hard maple await Jan, Feb, and March. I'm ready. Bring it on

    Thank ya both:salute::yes:

    Down here too.
    I've heard conflicting reports, as usual. Some say it's gonna stay around 20-30° all winter without much snow. Others say it'll be a doozie. I'm going with somewhere right in the middle
