Just got back from whacking a Christmas tree for 99. She wanted one more for the yard and was happy to go out and get one with me. I let her pick it out, I just pointed them out and asked "what about this one?"

She had a small artificial one that had yellowed with age and wanted to replace it......so we decided to let the governor buy one for us!

Did a recent survey on caffeene usage
A company had 25% of the company consuming 50% of the coffee.
The remaining was consumedby 50% of the company.
There was also 25% of the company consuming 100%of the mt dew!

They also had an issue with their AP system, where it only processes 25% of that they needed to pay monthly.

More info that is not included in the above statistics.
    4 people in the company.
3 drank coffee. 2 of them limited to a certain amount per day, which is 1/2 pot between them.
The other 1 coffee drinker drank the other half of the pot.
The 1 non coffee drinker did the mt dew. A whopping 1 can a day.
    Oh, the AP system.
They only cut 4 checks a month. The 1 that they do with the system has a lot of items and a large $ amount to do so they use the AP system. (Plus a small $ amount each).
The other 3 its quicker to do by hand.

And, my car gets better gas mileage with 2 people than with 1.
The car gets 18 to 20 mpg.
2 people. Well, thats 36 to 40 per person :)

profession is software engineer. Need to dig in to the details for things to work.

We live in a small town where we are in a school district with 2 other small towns. At the last presidential election they had a "mock" election like many high schools do. My son would come home telling me how the teachers were lobbying for the students to vote for the Dem. candidate. The students voted for Trump, and the teachers were sure the kids must have made a mistake voting. My son had his 18th B-day last weekend, he's a Pearl Harbor B-day boy. He had some friends over and I walked in while they were discussing if the evil Europeans had never discovered this place, and the Indians were left alone. One kid said, well without America the British would have fallen by 1942 and the Japanese would have landed on the west coast and the Germans would have taken the east coast. And there would not have been anyone to save the world. Smart kids.

You don't even have to go to the U.K. to see this for yourself, just use google street view and zoom in on any M-class road.

As an agriculture teacher that teaches woodturning, engines and welding, the public school is not and cannot ever be everything to every student. Parents that give a darn let alone communicate (not dictate or ignore) their children are the minority in my school district. We have kids that excel in spite of their parents and we have students that fail in spite of their parents. I don't teach brazing anymore, it is a topic every now and again from some one. I teach to much stick welding, I don't spend enough time in the shop, spend to much time in the shop. Require to much safety gear, spend to much time on safety, to harsh with my safety tests. I am glad to hear it was positive, never hurts to impart our views to our kids. They won't get it through osmosis.

Around these parts public school curriculum is geared towards one thing and one thing only.............getting into college. That is the foundation of the entire public school systems curriculum. I get it College can be a very very good thing, but gone are the days of skilled trades being taught. Sad, because not every kid is going to be college material, there are TONS of excellent skilled jobs out there, but they just funnel and try to smash them through onto college, its big business.

Not to get political or hijack this thread but it seems society frowns upon those who aren't college graduates or don't hold college degree type jobs. Like your beneath them if you don't have your masters, that's all I hear around here this one or that going for their masters, half of them are 28 still living at home paying their students loans down looking for that 70k job a year to start.
