So sorry to hear that. I slept all morning yesterday and actually slept last night. Usually if I sleep in the daytime, I am awake all night. I am feeling better today and I hope you will get over this quickly. This time of year is not the time to be sick.

A while ago sitting here at the computer I got hungry. Then remembered my wife had made some church window cookies. Okay...

    Cookies.JPG

I guess that is quite a combination of things on the desk. lol Cookies weren't enough though. I went back for a couple more. Wife doesn't like that she had to cut back on the coconut because she ran out. I could easily eat this with no coconut as that has never been one of my favorites. For some reason the color did not snow well. Probably the camera too close.

It's never a bad day when you have spent brass and cookies.

Been working on finishing cabinets for the mud room for what feels like forever. Got everything done except poly on a couple adjustable shelves. Went to hang the last of the doors and realized I have the wrong hinges. Grrr. Got on the Amazon machine and ordered some new ones but they won't be here until Friday. So close to crossing this project off the list.

you know there are meds you can take to lessen the duration and severity of of the flu. Call your MD to call it into a pharmacy. They will do it because they don't want you in their office. Flu is respiratory. No GI symptoms with Flu. Your other symptoms are consistent with flu. There are folks who call stomach symptoms as stomach flu. But it isn't flu. Look up Norovirus and see it that is more like what you have. Worse yet, you could have both. I have seen that many times. Strict hand washing is a must. in a compromised person, it can be lethal. unless you are immuno suppressed, you should recover with rest and proper nutrition.

Thanks savemoney, I feel a lot better today. Still not 100% but as long as I take it easy, I think it's on it's way out. My son had it first ( picked it up in Chicago), then my grandson, and for both of them it was a fast mover. My husband is probably next, though.

Tue evening was the last santa performance for this year. This rest home was the best of the three and easier to take. There was a lot more participation here for singing than there was last year too. (No, santa doesn't sing.....)

Workers had some cookies/juice/coffee for us afterwards; nice.

Having a new washing machine delivered today. Need to move things so the guys can take old one out and put new one in. Bought a top loader recently when old front loader broke, I wanted it to be easier to get the laundry in and out, it really is! Except a new set of issues with it. Guzzles water, I ran the cistern dry a couple times, doesn't clean as well, and little rips on our tshirts. Oh well, anyone want to buy a new toploader?

I did a ton of research when I replaced our washer and read all about this...went with a front-loader again.

Yes, stupid expensive mistake! I read the same things and rationalized in my head. It is indeed much easier for me to get the clean wet laundry out, but the only 7 gal more per load vs the frontloader is a crock. Everytime the cistern runs dry its luck of the draw if it will prime up again or if the other unforeseen issues happen, not to mention the poor thing ran all night-dry. Glad we didn't melt the impeller. What kind did you get? I ended up with a Kenmore.
