Yes it is a new construction home though. R21 walls and whatever attic (39? I think) that wisconsin requires.

Still not much sun here. None yet today. But temperature not bad. I think it is around 31. No melting yet. Looks like we may be in for some warmer air toward the weekend and that will bring some rain. I'd rather it stay below freezing now and stay away from the mess.

Another sunny day in the upper 20's! All week is going to be like this....I hope. Not so much the sunshine, but the mild temps.

9 above here before sunrise, headed for a high in the 20’s with wind chill today and tonight, then into a warm spell around 40 for a few days. Looking forward to it but not really the rain coming with it Saturday.
75 IAT still burning last nights coals. The Fireview loves this weather!
Last nights load just as I was retiring at 9 pm.

21 out now. Supposed to get into the low 40's today. Sun is out.

Boiler is still chewing on last night's load of that yellow trash wood.

Woke up to 24, plenty of coals for another fire. Few splits of maple to bring up the fire and a load of oak before off to work. Yesterday did the same thing, when I got home from work, enough coals for another fire last evening. Think am starting to get the hang of this. Furnace has run a few times past few days. Runs once or twice before I get home from work and maybe once or twice about 4 - 5AM before I wake to throw another load on.

That’s a beautiful sight Marvin . Looks like you’re getting a good handle on your new stove already. I’d say by those temperatures you must be pretty satisfied with it also. It’s a wonderful thing!

Thanks Maina! There is definitely a learning curve. I haven't really used the blower that came with it yet to see how that affects the temps. I wanna see what it can do without it first.
