Hello fellow pellet heads, I have been MIA for quite a long time here lately due to health issues, been trying my hardest to do what I can to stay active here but unfortunately I've been in and out of the hospital quite a bit. I could use your help and advice on some pellets I'd like to purchase for my Harman P61A that resides in my cellar. I use the stove sparingly but I have a wood lathe down there now and as soon as I'm feeling a little better I will be down there a lot so I need to fire up the stove and keep warm while I'm working down there. I have come across some pellets that I have never tried before and honestly have never heard of them before so I was wondering if anyone has tried them before and can let me know if they're any good? Thank you in advance for any insight my friends!
Hey bud, good to see you here. PD has carried these the last couple seasons, but never tried them. For the money, I think you would be safer and happier in the end to pay an extra $10/ton for the lacretes or logik-e softies he’s selling. If he gets in any more Matras, grab them for sure.
Thank you very much my friend! I bought pellets from these guys the first year I had my stove and I remember the delivery taking a very long time. I just read a bunch of their google reviews and I'm going to pass on buying my pellets from them. I'm not bashing the company or anything and I myself have never had any problems with them personally, but life is too short so I will try to find another source of pellets. I do agree with you about the Lacretes and the logic-e, I have burned both and they were very nice pellets. I'm not too picky about the pellets because the P61A will burn anything nicely! I might try Lowes and see what they have for pellets, I'm not a fan of the Stove Chow brand at Home depot, lots of sticks in those bags. Thank you for the reply my friend, I appreciate that! I will search again and see if I can find a local dealer before I go to the big box stores. I like to support local business first if possible.
I tried those early Fall in my Harman Accentra and was not impressed. I do agree on the other pellets mentioned above. Welcome back and wishing you well getting back up to speed
Thank you my friend, I hope to be back on my feet soon! Oh yeah, I forgot about Robbins, they are right down the street from me. And are a direct competitor of PD! I'll see what they have for stock right now. I just went to TSC right after my scan today and grabbed 20 bags to hold me over. Those are decent pellets and always work well for me. Hey, nice to hear from you jtakeman, been a long time my friend! Thank you, I always fight hard brother!
