I saw some talk of Christmas trees. I surprised nobody has started a thread for pictures of their Christmas trees.

Close inspection of the pics show BOTH are made in China.....they're both sealed ball bearing motors. Everything else I looked at on them seems identical.

    IMO, buy the cheaper one.

Spent an hour on the phone with that company(I have purchased from them before),about BIL's old prescott,of which their is very little information. They were the only place that took the time, and found out in the old books, about the shaker grate problem in the early prescotts.I asked him about their non-St croix factory exhaust blowers, was told they have had 0 complaints.

Finally... I got a call this morning from the nut shell plant.

They are just about finished with the new processing plant and they invited us to come check out the shells tomorrow.

The new plant and it's equipment they tell me should produce slightly larger pieces of shell as compared to what we have had in the past few years.

The old plant had several big azz trash fans in line with the exhaust to the bag house/hopper to help eliminate the sticks.

We screen the stuff anyway so slightly larger pieces burn well and do not produces the huge amounts of fly ash that the fine stuff does.

The large amounts of fines "flash" off and go right up and out the exhaust really quick.

Soooooo...we are heading to the plant tomorrow afternoon to take a peek and probably get a small sample to test.

I really am not too worried, as long as the stuff will pass our screen (1/2") we're good to go>.......

The word is that later this week we should be able to get our first dumpster full...

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS...

Dealt with them before and have no complaints. I've been noticing these new and unbranded exhaust fans with concerns written all over them. The reason behind reaching out is to see the verdict on them, what better place than a forum to ask I say:smoke:

Gave the stove it's first cleaning of the season tonight. Had a weird start up issue Friday where the stove only lit on the right side and was pushing pellets out of the pot on the left side, tried pulling the excess pellets out with the scraper and moving hot embers to the left side and still wouldn't burn on that side so I hit shutdown and eventually once the pellets burned down the left side caught so I hit on and it burned fine the rest of the weekend but I figured it's time for a cleaning.

I put in a damaged bag of the Vermont's I got off CL this summer (it was on top of another pile so easy to get to). Oh, the P61a does love those - could tell immediately when they started running thru. Nice and hot and clean burning. Took pics of the burn pot this morning after running 24 hours without scraping or removing the mustache. Dumped some more OP's on top of that bag of Vermont's and will take a picture then post the comparison. Oh, and for the record, before the OP's even start making their way thru, I'm betting that I have to take the picture after 12 or less because I will feel the need to get the ash out of the way.

Anyone here taking Valsarten since the recall? My doc changed me from Lisinopril to Valsarten due to dry cough saying the recall is complete. My pharmacist is not convinced its actually taken care of. In fact they had a hard time filling the script and said they got another recall a few weeks ago.

Ive told my doc's office several times that I dont want Valsarten because of the cancer recalls but they being dismissive about my concerns with one med assistant saying "just take it"

I still have 2.5 months of Lisinopril (10mg) left and havent even filled the Valsarten script. I am still trying to figure out if the dry cough is just the dry air.........

I dealt with the dry cough for 2 yrs. Doc finally switched me from lisinoprol to losartan combined with Hydrochlorothiazide and the cough eventually went away and my BP came down further

losartan was the option that the pharmacist mentioned when I asked about alternatives.

Doc did say that the cough would not go away for a bit id it was caused by the lisinopril. Apparently the cough is very common with that med.
