    It was a tougher one tonight. 99 commented on the show tonight and said "I was a quieter" in my performance.

    Yoop, many years ago I was helping out with camp Takumta, which is a special camp on the lake for kids have cancer. It always emotionally gutted me, to watch young children fight with chemo Etc. One day at seven year old little girl after a particularly hard night. I asked her if she was ready to try swimming or if she needed a break. Her response was I don't know how many days I have left on this Earth, but I want to make sure that I enjoy all of them.
    It's hard for you BUT a joy for them!
    That's what makes it beautiful.

    So suck it up, Butter cup and give them a show!!:salute::handshake:

    Still clear, cold and frosty out in the morning. I am off work today because when you plan an event and haven't cleaned house properly for awhile, you need time to do it. We are having an open house for family and friends on Sunday to celebrate @campinspector's birthday. Wish you all could come and drop in. What a gathering that would be.

    Anyway, I am off to make breakfast, cleaning and shopping for today.

    Don't think I could ever play the part of Santa like yooperdave does. But maybe he is fatter than I and his hair is a bit grayer. Not sure if he wears glasses or not or if his beard would match the part. I don't have a beard nor do I want one. But I do enjoy putting smiles on peoples faces and bringing cheer.

    I must be doing better than last year at this time. I received a couple of comments on how Santa is thinner this year!

    Beard is too short (left over from deer season) glasses are still optional! :thumbs:

    And that is why I am doing it...not for my feelings, but for the feelings of the residents that are still conscious or not drugged to realize what is going on.

    As it turns out, last nights show was missing a resident that had died the previous day....she had always joined in with the singing.

    I think the kids would be worse though.
