    Amazing. So are the people who live in that area. I would not wish to live in an earthquake area the same as I do not wish to live where there are hurricanes or massive tornadoes. Yes, we have some tornadoes in our area. Thank God I've never been in one nor do I ever wish to be. Thankful they are few in our area. The same goes for flooding areas. I see when there is 4-5' or more water in cities; don't wish to go there at all.

    Very thankful that bogydave came through this okay.

    He should be good, he lives about 200 miles from Anchorage. He may have felt it, I have not heard about any damage from the town he lives in. I have friends that I have heard from that live in the same town, that did not talk about any issues. They know Cold Trigger Finger and should have told me if the knew of anything.

    . Sorry, late to the party.
    We had a couple minutes of good roller action. Kind of like sitting dead in the water in a skiff in a 2-3' chop. We didn't even loose power .

    I have to say , Thank God it happened when it did and not an hour or 45 minutes earlier. Friday morning rush hour was past .
    Not a big deal here. But in Anchorage it would have been real bad.
    People have told me it felt like their vehicle was flying apart .
    Others said it felt like their house was attached to a giant jack hammer.

    They said it’s temporary and will have to properly fix it when it warms up. The chemical they had to add to pave in these temps made the asphalt soft. They got it done.

    I knew this is how Alaska would respond, instead of sitting around wringing their hands, they got things coordinated and got the work done. That's the way its supposed to be, other places they'd have the president do a tour, make a huge issue out of the damage, and put their hands out for the big payoff, then take their time getting it done. All the while costing tax payers huge amounts of money, and wasting time in the process. Way to go Alaska!!!

    Its still high dollar. But we kinda specialize in getting a lot done day and night in all kinds of weather.
    Including real cold. These jobs were just good jobs to give some seasonal guys and girls some after Thanksgiving work.
