-17c/1f at the moment with a full load of larch for an overnight burn. Im listening to some Uriah Heep before going to bed. I notice they are opening up for Judas Priest in Lethbridge Alberta this June. Ill be making the drive to go see that show with my daughter. She hasnt seen Priest and I havent seen Heep so it should be fun.

22 OAT and 75 in the stove room this morning. No snow in the forecast but getting colder. Feeling more like January than early December. Couple splits of pine on the coals

28° here, supposed to get to 38° and sunny, so I'll have a good day outside. Looks like NC and western VA get a big snowstorm this weekend, you ready, Eric VW?

20F here this morning. Burning up some Pine for a bit while I’m home this morning. Then the hardwood goes in.

4°F / -16°C here, but it cleared off for a couple of hours after midnight and it dropped to -14°F / -26°C. Burning DED elm that's almost too hard to split, but it burns hot and longer than anything else you'll find around here.

    200 miles south of saskwoodburner.

Loaded the Drolet up last night with a couple small rounds of oak and short oak boards N/S. Nice bed of coals this morning. Hate to leave the toasty house, but got to go work on my mom's water well. Pump not working. IMG_20181206_070451671.jpg

Temperature actually went up overnight from about 28 when I went to bed to 35 when I woke up. Boiler had a good bed of coals but was ready for a reload. Gave it a few chunks of hedge and some hickory. Supposed to get down in the teens tonight and stay below freezing until next week.

    Still snowing here....add 6".

Easy to shovel anyway as it is a bit light. No snowplow past the house....yet.

Took the day off from wood cutting yesterday. Not sure what I can do this afternoon but will probably get out there to try at least.

Pleasantly surprised with December so far, in the sense we haven't got beat up yet with some ugly cold. Yet.:D A low of -17 C overnight has already turned to -11 C feels -17 C or 12 F feels 1 F which is probably the high for the day. With a little luck, the oil burner can stay sleeping for another week or more. As always, poplar in the stove.

About 29* out right now. Few flakes on the air but nothing to worry about. Most of the snow is staying north us.

Right where I want to be.
Interesting day today. Snow on and off with more soon, but not much accumulation.
We hit our high of 29 a couple hours ago, and it's 25 OAT now, headed down to 12. 72 IAT at my desk, and 74 at the t-stat.
I put the snow rake together this morning (watch out MasterMech :D) and took the inch or so of snow off the roof. Not quite sure what to do with the other two rakes that broke.
Seems like I'm using more wood the last couple days. We've gone through about 2.5 FC :picard:since last week of Sept, so I'm on track for planned usage. All bets are off when/if the cold hits.
