Local farm store has bogo on $4.99/bag Superior brand hardwoods made by local producer Marth. I've used these on and off for years... not a bad pellet... kind of ashy but good heat. At this price I'll buy a ton this week....
Through our first season I tried several “hardwood” pellet offerings.... all but Presto Logs produced some amount of an ash cake. But IIRC, they all produced good heat.
Been fortunate to have pellet manufacturing close to me in Southeast WI. I do a spring purchase at 179.00/ton all the time. Dejno's has been a consistent product in my unit. I measure heat coming off unit a few times during each season and it's rock solid.
