Put a 16” bar on the 488 for the small stuff and running 20” on the 577.
Will need at least 24” for the big Maple later. [IMG]

I have never seen a shindaiwa saw for sale in my local area. I think the new ones are the same as echo? What displacement are the saws in the pics?

I thought so. I've never see more than a picture of one. I don't know any place near me that sells them.

There were quite a few available near here when the Shindaiwa distributor was in Oregon.

I have a 360 that I bought in about 1999. Its my little saw. Reliable for my needs which is occasional use. Only problem is that it leaks oil if it sits.

As I recall the EPA made it so they couldn't sell the current product line and then Echo re-badged the updated saws with a different name and discontinued using the Schinnie name. Could be wrong on that fact.

Shindawa made some good power equipment till the gubbmint started meddling. Used to run trimmers, edgers, & a few saws. Always liked them, dead reliable & long lasting. If I could find a good saw around, I'd grab it.
