It was 35f on the very windy/wavy shores of Lake Superior last night. Wish I knew what the wind chill was....especially after getting splashed by waves type wind chill!

    No rain or snow anyway.

Rain / snow mix here at 7am and 33 degrees. Gonna be a yucky day but up into the 30’s and upper 40’s maybe tomorrow with a little sun. It’s 77 inside with a big gnarly piece of pine on the coals.

 :lol:Let’s hope not. The colder temps looks like they will slowly set in over the next few weeks.

Bingo! We hit 50 here. Totally unexpected. And now the sun just cam out too. Will burn the rest of the fog off. Sure wish it would get rid of the rest of this snow. If not, it will be like a rock soon. Nasty.

Sitting at -6 C feels -13 or 21 F feels 8 this morning, and staying the same all day. Certainly tired of the wind already and winter has a long way to go. Poplar in the stove.

Right where I want to be.
Raining slush since last night and chilly too. Just cooled off enough to change to snow. That means all the slush that came down will turn to ice.
I so look forward to finding myself face up on the ground, unable to breath for a few seconds. Fun times....fun times.
    Right Stinny ?
Yes, I know we aren't the only ones.

It’s 40 here and raining and those thunderstorms are supposed to be here around 5-6. What a messy day. We still have snow on the ground but not too much. This back and forth is what’s hard to take. Roads were slick all morning in a lot of places. Can’t do without heat on a day like this so I’m burning one split at a time to keep it low and it’s working out well. Maintaining STT 350-500 all day so far with morning coals and 3 decent size splits, first one a big pine knot that went for hours. Time for a snifter of brandy! Anyone want to join me?

The rain has stopped here finally, but I'm not tempted to go out. I've been burning red maple all day, two splits at a time. Looking forward to 50° tomorrow, I'll start working on my new oak, unless my grandson misses school ( stomach bug) and I have to babysit. If I start drinking now, I'll be passed out by 7.

I read about the fog in pa. We haven't seen the sun in over a week now. One started to lose energy when this happens.
