Slept in till 8:15 this morning o_O. Felt good. I must of needed it. Girls finished decorating the house while I was at work yesterday/last night. Sitting here enjoying it in peace and quiet. All kids still in bed.

I had the busiest TR in the country near where I used to live. It was always crazy to get in there for dinner.

Theres one near my service center that I will take some of the service peeps to for Friday lunches every so often. Only time I end up in them these days.

I somehow ended up with a hangover from two margaritas. Must have been the cheap tequila. Ugh

Some very strange things happening. Earthquakes in AK (over 1,000), tornado in IL and we even heard thunder during the night. Not real close but someone got some thunderstorms, I guess. Then to top things off, we hear of a Yooper, yooperdave, going to the beach and getting wet...in December. One would think that perhaps he had been to that beech before and knows what the big lake is like...

    I wasn't talking about actual birds ;)

But I will now. I saw a few of these while in Hawaii. 220px-Paroaria_coronata_-Koke'e_State_Park,_Hawaii,_USA-8.jpg They are actually cardinals. Red crested cardinals.

Winterized 3 vehicles this morning. Should of been done a month ago. Drain gas from Kombi and ran out what didn't dump.
Put weather stripping on 2 doors. It ought to cut down on some draft.
Split and stacked about 1/2 cord of wood this afternoon until my son showed up to deer hunt out back. I wasn't much into firewood making today so it didn't take much to convince myself to quit. Didn't want to spook any his deer.
It is predicted to get nasty for the next 7 days. Filled the inside wood rack. Should last 5 to 6 days.
Since it was warm enough not to light a fire today, I took the opportunity to give the stove a good cleaning.

I fully agree. Hell, I think white castle even bears out Taco Bell for that " honor".

Back at home. Floyd seems happy to see us. MIL stayed and took care of him. I'm pretty sad I only get to see my family every few years. But lucky I get my IN-LAWS year around :headbang:. Time to get the stove fired up.
