Quick day at the beech

    Snuck out for an hour and whacked up a few twigs of beech. Piled a few more small logs on the pile and made mud every where.     Unfortunately it looks like the beech bark disease is getting into the beech there too.

    Thank for for the note. I bought this house 4 or 5 years ago. Selling points, 25 acres of mature hardwoods, big wood furnace in basement, 5 car garage to keep my hoarding gear inside!!! The view is amazing, but I did have cut some trees down to get it. :dex:

    That's pretty muddy for sure, but at least it's in the woods! Unfortunately, I did that on a smaller scale in front of my house yesterday. Outside the fence line by the road.
