21f right now. Whatever I threw in the OWB last night at 8:30 is still taking care of the demand for heat/hot water.
The OWB really enjoys these mild temps!

31 here, headed for 40. Forecast shows a warm up coming....61 by the weekend with a heavy dose of rain. Gonna have some mud.

Boiler is still trying to digest some hedge I put in there Tuesday AM. I put a few small splits on last night to help burn down the coals, but they were still recognizable this morning. It should be ready for a reload this evening.

It was 33 here this morning at 0600, lit the stove which still had coals from last night with Oak, and Maple. This year I'm short on ss wood and have a lot of 3 yr Oak ready. Next year I'll have a lot of Red Maple and Boxelder for SS, and plenty of the good stuff for the cold times. Go figure.:picard:

    You're not kidding !!!
    It's 25 here now and it's raining!
Guessing that 100' up the temp is above freezing.
Last 2-3 weeks we've had freezing temps all week and a melt down on the weekends
Drives me nuts as that doesn't work for our business model.

Weather hanging around -8 C feels -13 C, or 17 F feels 9 F. Decent weather for the tail end of November for sure. Supposed to hit -4 C or low 20's F later not counting the wind. If the weather forecasters have it right, it should be decent for another 5 days. Poplar heating the way.

It's funny how you get used to lower temps as winter goes on. I looked back in my posts, and when this exact weather was happening 7-8 weeks ago, it was cold! Now it's not bad at all.

Current temp 29°F headed down to 25°F. House plenty warm from this morning's fire, will hold off reloading some Aspen for another few hours.

On another note, roof raked about quarter of the roof and I'm beat! First snowstorm, melt, then freezing rain with about 3" of ice up there squished between another 15" of snow on top of that making it hard to do- super heavy. Metal roof this time whenever we need one in 15 years or so. Will finish the rest over the next few evenings to make room for another snow event on Saturday night/ Sunday morning
