Whatever way it was from the factory, put it back that way.

Yeah, this one is long though.
Not already connected to motor frame when unboxed.

I moved it from the sheet metal stove wall to the motor housing (yellow arrows)
As mentioned, i had it hooked up that way before, and that jibes with what you are saying, other than the ground came with one end unattached.

    Thanks,

No reason why you couldn't hook that long motor ground up to the same stove body ground point -> that the plug socket ground is attached to currently, if you wanted to.

Thanks for putting up with me, fellas.

Actually, it appears hooking it to the motor frame has taken the noise away.
    Glad i asked.

Not sure why i decided to do it differently this time.
Probably because the wire was long enough to. Lol

Ugh. it still makes the noise on medium.
This vid without the rooom fan blowing.

The "other" noise is the feeder motor.
I did notice this motor was noiser than the weak chinese OEM.
I don't know if this an issue or not.
Video is uploading to youtube. will post it in a minute

Aha! when my ear is below the motor's cooling blades, i don't hear the whine.
when i move my ear into the same plane or above the spinning cooling fins, i hear it.

Some kind of a resonance thing, i suppose.

Beat it with a hammer.

Seriously, pull the blower and spin by hand - check for alignment / a bent blade.

I inspected it when i installed it.
One i had before did have bent impeller blades.
These were nice and even. They all have a little cant to them, but they match

This is just the sound the outer cooling fins make. Must just the the specific speed on medium is what makes the conditions right for the whine/whistle.

Almost certainly a false alarm. I'm sure i noticed it more after the "incident" today. (wife is a witch)
I'll stop wasting your time now.

I surely do appreciate it though. :D
    Ver much so.
    Thank you all.

OK, i think i also figured out why my wife thought the stove had stopped.
This low draft kit allows me to have the feed gate closed as far as it will go.
The flame on low is just in the bottom of the pot.

I am sure she thought it was out, restarted the start cycle, and ended up with too many pellets in the pot that way.
I was home just them, so no smolder from the igniter could be seen.

I have had to look since the gate was set full low to see if the fire was burning.

That's my story, and i'm sticking to it.

*eh, it probably did go out, upon review.
But it hasn't ever done that when i'm here.
I'll never know what exactly happened.

Just a shot in the dark.....maybe (while stove is off, cool, & unplugged), try loosening all the bolts/nuts that hold the motor & frame in place, try re-seating it. Tighten all screws/nuts evenly. Never know. It's worked on occasion for me in the past.

Also, anyone that's in the market for an SSD Drive - the Crucial MX500 500GB SSD on Amazon for $64.99 is an excellent deal that's currently running.
