Not sure about any of you, but I slammed the hoarding wall today. I tried to set up a new area to stage logs and nearly buried my tractor. I am also trying to carry everything on the girls to stay out of the mud and it did not go well. Small tractor blues. Gave up and I am in watching football. One of those days I guess. :picard:

Yep, ground was froze good here for about a week, then it warmed up & rained. Stupid weather, now we got 8" of wet snow coming they say, that'll really insulate it so it won't freeze.

I hit a bit of a wall the other day too. Ran out of wood on the deck and just didn’t feel like bringing up another face. Went to the stack, grabbed a armful and tossed that in the stove, after that the stove went cold for about 36 hours. Just being lazy I guess.

Glad I am not the only one. I went to the gym and felt great. Got out in the cool dampness and things just did not go right. Next weekend maybe.

Well.... I think I'm screwed. I had a total muckfest going, couldn't walk on it let alone drive a tractor around. Now it's getting covered with who knows how much sloppy wet slushy snow crap. Oh and rain is forecast for next weekend.

Yep, same here. At least we only have an advisory, not a blizzard warning like you guys. Stay warm & dry, this is gonna suck.

We are unusually dry in the PNW. Normally this time of year there is a mini brook running through the wood yard. So far, not a trickle.

I’ve been rubbing on the wall for awhile now. Can’t get into the field where I store the wood and do the work.
Dropped three small trailer loads next to my driveway so I can do something during mud season. I’m going back to the honey hole for one more load of logs today and I think that’ll be it.
Also have a bunch of trees to cut out of my yard. My burn pit is full so I’m not doing that until I can burn off some limbs.
We have burn Nazis around here. Better have your permit in order and state permission before lighting a match. Every third car that drives by sees you burning brush but they call the cops anyway. Mind your own business people grrr.
Doesn’t make sense to me. To burn brush you need a permit and the state allows or disallows burning depending on weather conditions or the color of their mood ring that day. But buy a keg of beer and I can burn all night without a permit or permission. WTH?

I know the feeling. Started 11-7 shift last Wednesday night, usually work on wood in the mornings when I get home. Had Thanksgiving lunches Thursday and Friday, had to go get Christmas trees X2 Saturday morning with my son, DIL and newest grandson. This morning before church, mom called, her septic line was clogged, I couldn't get it to budge:(, taking my last two vacation days Monday and Tuesday. Found out after church, we need to take a friend to a Dr appointment for pre-op. Her daughter is sick and can't take her...:confused:...maybe when we get back, I can smell some 2stroke exhaust...mama said there would be days like this, didn't know they were like bananas, come in bunches...give me patience, LORD.

When we bought this place....one of the first things we did was to bring in 4 triaxle (96 ton) loads of stone. I never regretted one moment of it. Practically all our wood is on the sides n behind the garage...no slop to tromp thru..

I hit a different wall. Mine is called the wife. I planned to finish up the work on the snowblower on Saturday, and bring the log splitter back into the garage to finish the work on it. Well the wall called the wife had different plans. Go get the Christmas tree, flu shot at the minute clinic at CVS which is far from a minute (an hour waiting. If it was not for my dad's cancer, I'd have left), followed by a URI afternoon basketball game, then dinner out with the cousin's. Didn't get home until 9pm.

Sunday was getting out the Christmas decorations, rearranging furniture, trimming and putting up the tree, putting on the lights, and some other odds and ends. After an early dinner I finally made it to the garage to finish the work on the snowblower. With not enough time to work on the log splitter, I ended up running the lathe to drill holes in the plugs I made for a hardwood cane I am making for my dad.

you might want to cover that with a tarp. Forecast is upwards of a foot of snow here starting this evening.
