Back when we still had electronic repair shops around, the dude I used to go to let me in on a lil secret with microwaves...if they start sparking they usually just need the mica board replaced...that shiny carboard looking thing on the right. You can buy that stuff cheap, just pop yours out, trace it on the new board, cut it out and pop the new one in...takes 3 minutes and cost a couple dollars.
We really like our microwave and I have "rebuilt" it this way a number of times over the years. Hope none of y'all are appliance repair dudes...cause that cat is gawn!

Replaced our 20 year old thermostat in the bedroom two weeks ago. Learned a lesson on the "C" wire. I don't have one!

I'm probably jinxing it now; our microwave was a gift from my mother when we built the house, 20 years ago. She had bought it at a yard sale and had it for 5 or 10 years before giving it to us. So I don't know how old it actually is but it works fine and owes the world nothing.

Caffeine and breakfast with Dad this morning. But he is still sleeping. Odd. He is usually up when I get here. Filling in for a brother who is sick. Cold rain here. Today will be a few small indoor projects.

    How did the job go?

All is well here. I was getting worried about him there for a bit. I guess he just caught some extra sleep. Good for him. He can use it.

That one ranks right up there with working under the dash in a car.

Us too... it’s within hours of hitting us... got a few last items to get done, since it’s looking more and more likely to get us a decent plowable snow...

Let us know how this one turns out. Looking at the radar, right now it appears to be all moving east and if so, it will miss us. But they forecast 3-6" for us mostly after 3:00 am. We'll see, but I do plan on putting the snow blade on today.

Not quite here... It’s cooling off and getting windy... I just got my last preparation done... I’m ready for what ever we get... but of course I’m hoping a bunch of that white stuff...
